People’s Place
Visitors here are not just spectators, but part of the action. That’s because OF GOODS is both a stage and a meeting place. Facing Marktgasse, the large storefront becomes a window for dialogue: for performances, experiments, and formats that engage the outside world and feed back into the space. Beneath the historic arcades, display cases showcase products, materials, and ideas.
Guest appearances by brands, pop-ups, showcases, workshops, and events constantly bring fresh perspectives to the space. Sometimes a conversation starts, sometimes people join in spontaneously, and sometimes they just linger.
This is how People’s Place becomes what it’s all about: a vibrant place for meeting and connecting. And everything that can come from it.
Custom formats within People’s Place
DIY Station
A place to get hands-on: try out materials, tackle small repairs, or bring your own ideas to life. Open to anyone who’d rather try things out than just watch.
Workshops
Learn, experiment, and explore new things together. Producers, artisans, and experts share their knowledge.
Show and Tell
A platform for ideas, products, and processes. From exhibitions to lectures, brands, manufacturers, and creators offer insights into their work and engage directly with visitors.
Learning Journeys
External guided tours exploring the company’s areas of expertise and beyond. Insights, context, and inspiration for everyone on how trade works today and what it might look like tomorrow.
We are very pleased that our outreach program has been awarded the 2025 Prix Felz and is a project supported by the City of Bern’s Local Agenda 21.
