Who is behind Tilde?
My name is Eva, and I don’t just love beautiful, timeless things—I also love creating them myself. Beautiful, yes, but to me, handmade products shouldn’t be “museum pieces.” They should become your favorite items that you’ll want to use every day.

Why “Tilde”?
The tilde has many meanings. For example, the symbol stands for “similar” or “approximately.” And that’s exactly what the products made by Atelier Tilde in Bern are like: they merely resemble a machine-made form, and no two products are exactly alike—they’re simply approximate. You should be able to see the handiwork in my products: a small unevenness here, a little asymmetry there—it is precisely this “imperfection” that gives my handmade products their charm.
