FIOSK
FIOSK is a mobile repair station created by textile designer Fiona Elisa Carnuccio, operating at the intersection of design, craftsmanship, and social issues.
In public spaces, FIOSK offers low-threshold access to repair and textile design. Just like at a kiosk, people pass by FIOSK on their way: the first time, a conversation might start; the next time, they bring along a broken piece of clothing. Repairs, alterations, and creative reimagining are done using what’s already there and through interaction with people.
FIOSK views repair not merely as a service, but as a way to connect and move forward together. The result is a shared infrastructure: a space for knowledge, tools, workshops, collaborations, and joint initiatives centered on repair and textile design.
