NCCFN

NCCFN (Nothing Can Come From Nothing) is a multi-local design and production network comprising designers, artisans, and cultural practitioners. Since 2020, we have focused on working with pre-consumer waste—surplus stock from the fashion and textile industries.

Instead of consuming new resources, we start with what already exists. Our design interventions transform unsold garments into wearable and marketable products, while simultaneously challenging the logic of overproduction and depreciation. We view fashion as a space for discussion, where our work forges connections between production, distribution, and consumption.

Design, development, and production take place locally within our network of studios in Bern, including at the Kaiserhaus. There, we work directly in our in-house studio and offer a repair service. Our focus is on transforming unsold garments from neighboring businesses around the Kaiserhaus.

In this way, we strengthen multi-local relationships and, through our “Decide the Price” model, raise new questions about value, access, and responsibility among producers, sponsors, and the network.
