Sour Cherry Week

Everything about the Fruit of the Year

The “Hallauer Aemli” sour cherry was named Fruit Variety of the Year for 2026. To celebrate this occasion, FRUCTUS —the Association for the Promotion of Heirloom Fruit Varieties—is hosting Sour Cherry Week at OF GOODS from July 6 to 11.

A small exhibition provides interesting facts about the history, cultivation, and unique characteristics of this traditional variety, which has become rare today. The exhibition is complemented by a selection of sour cherry products from ArboVitis, which visitors can discover, taste, and purchase on site.
